The MYD-SAMA5D36 development board is among MYD-SAMA5D3X series based on Atmel SAMA5D36 ARM Cortex-A5 processor capable of working at up to 536MHz.

The board has a flexible design with one CPU module MYC-SAMA5D36 mounted on one base board which is easy for customers to design their own base board or upgrade the CPU module.  The CPU module MYC-SAMA5D36 is a tiny controller board which has the SAMA5D36 processor, 512MB DDR2 SDRAM, 256MB Nand Flash, 4MB Data Flash, 16MB Nor Flash and Gigabit Ethernet PHY on board and connects with the base board through one DDR2 SO-DIMM 200-pin connector. The base board has carried out a set of rich peripherals by headers and connectors including serial ports, USB Host, OTG, RS485, two Ethernet, two CAN, MMC/SD, Micro SD, LCD, HDMI, Audio, etc.

The MYD-SAMA5D36 development board supports running Linux 3.6.9 and Android 4.0.4. It is delivered with software package with detailed schematic documents in PDF format, datasheet, user manual as well as necessary cable accessories. MYIR also offers optional modules including the 4.3 inch and 7 inch LCD modules (including touch screen), USB camera module and USB WiFi module which has greatly enhanced the functions of the development board, thus make the platform a solid reference as evaluation kit to help users extensively evaluate, customize, develop hardware and software covering many applications like HMI, consumer appliance, industrial control, display system, security device, electric power control system, PDA device and web terminals.
